Resurrection LIFE = Sincerity and Truth

‘Christ our PASSOVER has been sacrificed…Therefore let us KEEP THE FEAST not with old yeast or with the yeast of malice and evil but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.’ ~ Paul 1 Corinthians 5

The inquiring Christian mind would want to know this. KEEPING THE FEAST isn’t about salvation. Guarding this Feast (and the rest of the Holy Feasts) is not merely a ‘Jewish thing’. It’s a Command for ALL because The FEASTS EXPLAIN JESUS more clearly. The Feasts are a shadow of The Real Yeshua (Colossians 2:17). The Feasts EXPLAIN something about ourselves, our resurrected and true nature DUE TO THE Perfect Sacrifice of The Messiah we love and serve.

But hold on…there’s also this ‘sincerity and truth’ thing. Yes, there’s more. And these passages of 1 Cor. 1-5 is not about SALVATION…it’s about our MATURITY/GROWTH IN JESUS.

‘Yet there is a HOLY CHOKMAH (wisdom) that we are speaking to those who are mature (tamiym) enough for it.’ – Rabbi Sha’ul 1 Cor. 2:6

This ‘Maturing/Perfect Lover’ behaves differently (perhaps oddly to some) but others are drawn to The Light…because they need it (see Psalm 40).

Everyone walks as a Hypocrite, that is, in INSINCERITY (AND ERROR) UNTIL the Ruach HaKodesh touches us with OTHERWORLDINESS ‘unfolding and exposing us to His Light’ (SINCERE!).

This is the Rabbi Shaul’s (Paul) instruction in 1 Cor. 5:7-8 ‘GET RID of the old chametz so that you can be a NEW BATCH of DOUGH, because in reality you ARE unleavened. For the Pesach Lamb, The Messiah, has been sacrificed. So let us CELEBRATE THE SEDER not with leftover chametz, the chametz of wickedness and evil, but the MATZAH OF SINCERITY AND TRUTH.’

The Instructional Truth: RECOGNIZE & AGREE WITH G-D ABOUT YOUR TRUE SPIRITUAL AGE, DON’T REMAIN A HYPOCRITE. It only DELAYS your blessing (which you’ve already been given. You just need TO WALK IN IT.)

**The above was part of the teaching at our Merea’s Friday House of Study.

We also looked at a particular trait (choice!) that inhibits our growth in Messiah – HIS INCREASE – into our lives:

‘It’s a trap to wildly proclaim “This is holy!” and then after afterwards consider your vow’…Proverbs 20:25

Our TRAINING IN THE SPIRIT IS learning to DISCERN (understand) the difference between The Holy and the common (profane) at that DOORWAY OF HUMILITY (Galatians 5:22-23) where we ‘present ourselves as a living sacrifice’ as Paul instructed (Rom. 12:1-2).

Our minds – influenced by our FLESH (old nature) may be THE BIGGER INFLUENCE in our decision-making. This is the purpose of ‘self-judgment’ which is what tephillah (prayer) really consists of.

“You stiff-necked people (not receiving the ‘turning of the head’ MUSSAR), uncircumcised (not cutting off what is UNFRUITFUL) in heart (mind) and ears (behaviors), YOU ALWAYS RESIST (antipíptō: ‘against descending from the high place to a low place’) THE HOLY SPIRIT. As your fathers did, so do you.” – Stephen (Acts 7:51)

Paul’s message isn’t ‘do not keep the feasts’. His message is ‘Try to understand what these FEASTS are revealing to you about YOUR KING YESHUA…and you as a holy inhabitant of HIS Otherworldly Kingdom!’

In so understanding these Truths, The Holy Spirit will bring us to maturity and thus, others will inquire about this ‘transformed life’ – The Resurrected LIFE OF SINCERITY AND TRUTH!!!
