This is one of those lessons that places one in front of a mirror so she can take a good, long look at herself and, ideally, SEE herself.

I am consistently blown away by how God’s thoughts are opposite the world’s thoughts. As such to be chokmah is to be skilled for war and that means to physically exude hesed/loving kindness and acceptance of others and not what I in my common mind interpret “skilled for war” to mean.

The imagery and the ideal of the “knight” is actually a more appropriate image which leads me to Ephesians and the armor I must don every day. Thanks for reminding me that my most important outfit, the outfit that allows me to present the most “impressive” and “beautiful” me is the armor of God!
